I was on a bit of a vacation this past week. I got a good deal of film work done, but the writing portion of my brain, that is, the vital, active portion of my brain slept and dreamed. Yesterday those dreams began to bloom. A couple of pieces of stories began to coalesce. Characters are beginning to speak to me, telling me about themselves. Which is also allowing me to begin to understand what the story is. To use the often used pottery analogy, I’m gathering together the clay.
So I’ve got nothing other than that to share. Soon though I may have some fiction to post. Especially as I’m considering rewriting a story from years ago while the new story builds to a boil.
I am also going to be posting a new photo taken with my camera phone on my flickr account each day, which will also be visible over in the right hand column. The first one, not counting yesterday’s test picture, is a shot of the front yard, which I mowed earlier today in a mad fit of manual labor.
