Robert Altman is no longer among us. I’m tempted to write some sort of eulogy, but I didn’t know the man and his work, which we fortunately still have, speaks for itself. So sometime this week watch one of his films and be thankful that we had him for as long as we did.

So the final Senate election has been settled. George Allen is out and Jim Webb is in. Too bad the Democrats didn’t win a couple more races so they could have a majority. What’s that you say? Everybody says they do have a majority?
