Robert Altman is no longer among us. I’m tempted to write some sort of eulogy, but I didn’t know the man and his work, which we fortunately still have, speaks for itself. So sometime this week watch one of his films and be thankful that we had him for as long as we did.

So here in the land of the free, we’re told that we can’t be told what the government is doing about terrorism. If word does leak out that they actually do surveil their communication and financial transactions we’re told that such information being public may destroy the ability to fight the terrorists.

So the final Senate election has been settled. George Allen is out and Jim Webb is in. Too bad the Democrats didn’t win a couple more races so they could have a majority. What’s that you say? Everybody says they do have a majority?
Hmmm. Let’s see, the Republicans had 40 seats not in play and [...]

I’m not going to allege liberal media bias, I think it’s more a case of sloppy graphic, uh, making than anything else, but, well, let’s just go to the pictures shall we?

And now we wait. Sure most races will be called in time for Leno, but the fighting, the blame hurling will drag this mess out.
My experience was as fast and problem free as it has always been here in Decatur. Them old folks sure know how to run a polling place.
