I’m not going to allege liberal media bias, I think it’s more a case of sloppy graphic, uh, making than anything else, but, well, let’s just go to the pictures shall we?
First up, the BBC’s chart of the senate results so far:
Note the two independents. One being Lieberman and the other, according to this graphic from CNN, being some senator in Vermont.
And yet, CNN shows this chart for the overall results:
Apparently those two independents, including Lieberman (who it seemed very clear was not running as a Democrat, given that he, you know, lost the primary), are actually Democrats in disguise. Wonderful disguises apparently since they managed to fool those island dwellers and some of the CNN graphics team.
