And now we wait. Sure most races will be called in time for Leno, but the fighting, the blame hurling will drag this mess out.
My experience was as fast and problem free as it has always been here in Decatur. Them old folks sure know how to run a polling place.
So far the people for whom I voted are either ahead by a small amount or are losing by a huge margin (and sadly it looks like Loren Collins may not have even garnered 1%. Hopefully he’ll run again in two years for this office or some other).
The worst part of the evening though is just how much oxygen the politicians waste on speeches. The voting is over. Say, “I concede” and get off the f*cking stage.
Maybe a couple fingers of scotch will make it all pass easier.
