It’s done and will be live on WackoProductions.net later today along with Google Video, Myspace, and Youtube. The subject matter of the film is a rather sensitive one. I’m presently very happy though with the quality of the finished product and with the new camera. Six days of work (with one day off for good behavior), four minutes and fifteen seconds to show for it.

16 more hours over two days and it is almost done, just minor tweaking left. As this film nears completion, I have to wonder, how did I manage to go for over a year without immersing myself in this process, over a year away from my one real love, over a year without feeling the rush that comes from bringing to life the images in my head?

14 hours of work, 25 minutes of raw footage, 7 and a half minutes captured, just under 3 minutes when edited. Now bed.

The rumors of my death, and the ensuing riot by hundreds of mournful women, have not been exaggerated, just premature. I still breath. I still eat. I still force multisyllabic words into awkward yet somehow meaningful sentences.
After three drafts, I finished the rewrite of a script I originally wrote two and a half years ago. I’ve also put that film on hold to produce a followup to my favorite film that my compatriots and I have ever produced. That film, Best Laid Plans, which still makes me laugh (probably because I didn’t write it), can be seen on Google Video. As the three lead actors from that film may no longer be living in this state come next fall, I decided now was the time to put my plans for a sequel into effect. With any luck, shooting will kick off in December and be wrapped up by the end of January with a completed film out in the wild come February.
I’ve also spent a good deal of time avoiding political news as best I could. After the massive binge I went on during the primaries, I needed a purging period. I feel clean now so it may well be time to dirty myself again. In particular, I feel a another post working it’s way up about rights and freedoms. That will not be coming today though.

First draft of the screenplay is done. Second draft almost done. In the birthing process, it has eaten part of my brain. I am off to fill the now empty space in my skull with steak and scotch. Mostly scotch.
